Hotel Fontebella, Assisi

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with amazing views of the valley from the balcony while enjoying the clean and functional rooms. The service was outstanding with helpful staff available 24 hours a day. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful walled city of Assisi, and the dining experience, although basic, offered a variety of options. Overall, a great value for the price.

I couldn't recommend paying a bit more for the larger rooms facing out towards the spectacular view of the Umbrian Valley enough; it's totally worth it for a comfortable stay. The staff were mostly good and helpful, ensuring our kids and even the grown-ups were delighted with their thoughtful little gifts. However, some were not very friendly or accommodating, which was a letdown. The location was ideal for exploring the town but lacked the view some may desire. The dining experience was quite good overall, despite some unappealing visuals, offering a decent meal. Facilities were up to standard.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great views and comfort with a bit of a cramped feel.
